Hawaii Business Magazine Names Berry a "Best Place to Work"
Honolulu, HI - Hawaii Business magazine has named The Berry Company one of Hawaii's "Best Places to Work" as part of its annual awards program. The awards are designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Hawaii while also benefiting the state's economy, workforce and businesses. Affiliate in the Dominican Republic Named a "Best Company to Work For"
Dominican Republic - Caribe Servicios de Informacion Dominicana (CSID), our affiliate company in the Dominican Republic, was recently named one of the nation's "Best Companies to Work For" for the second consecutive year by Mercado magazine, a leading business publication. Its annual list takes into consideration such factors as public image, work environment, social responsibility, compensation and training practices. Recycling Program and Oahu Residents Bring Directories Full Circle
Oahu, Hawaii - This year, thousands of expired telephone directories were kept out of local landfills and processed into reusable products thanks to Oahu community members and the Think Yellow, Go Green Recycling Program. Oahu residents, Berry and Hawaiian Telcom Yellow Pages came together to repurpose more than 53 tons of recycled telephone directories, the equivalent of approximately 28,000 directories. Once recycled, directories were then converted into oil-absorbent materials and used to manufacture oil change kits, kitchen oil disposal boxes and mulch for local companies such as The Original Oil Change Box and Green Lava & ProSeed Hydro-Mulch.
